Flare is a free app that allows you to engage and share what is happening on campus. A Flare is an anonymous update where you are able to share real updates with other app users who live in your campus area. You can post images, invite people to study sessions and take photos of crazy stuff that happens at house parties.

When you send a Flare message, it doesn’t appear with your name on it. When other people look at their app, all they see is a series of news updates. However, if you want to make it more personal, you may try the chat function. With the chat function, you are able to communicate with other users who are online and/or have their app active. You are able to take credit for your messages by adding the name of the creator on the message.
You create messages about whatever you wish
Using the Flare app is as simple as writing a text. You may also add images to your text. The app also allows you to point out where events are happening either right now or in the near future. Other users will be able to see where the event is taking place on their map. The app is obviously only useful for students, and you have to be prepared for a few creeps using their anonymity to send crude messages. If there are plenty of users in your area, then this app may act as a reasonably good news app.
